Amazon Global Selling: Listing Image Requirements Across 11 Marketplaces

Compare image specifications and local packaging considerations across international Amazon stores.
An international Amazon gallery needs three separate reviews: the destination store’s image policy, the product’s local disclosure and packaging obligations, and the language and measurements in your creative. A shared catalog does not establish that the same images or certification marks suit every destination.
This hub covers the US, Canada, UK, Australia, India, Singapore, Ireland, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and South Africa. Sources were checked on 19 October 2026; review is due by 19 January 2027. Most local Seller Central help pages returned a JavaScript or login shell. The tables identify those limits instead of inventing differences between stores.
Create listing images from your product photos
Paste your Amazon, Flipkart, Walmart, or Meesho product link or upload phone shots. Picmato recommends listing image templates tailored to your product. Review the plan and choose which images to generate; a nine-image plan does not guarantee nine finished images or nine visible gallery slots. AI renderers do not guarantee an exact RGB value, so check with a color picker before uploading.
What technical image evidence was available for each marketplace?#
Amazon.com’s public Product photos article lists a 500-10,000-pixel longest-side range and JPEG, TIFF, PNG and non-animated GIF formats. It separately prefers images larger than 1,000 pixels on each side for zoom. These statements have US source scope. Exact local help-page thresholds were not readable in our check.
| Store | Public technical evidence | What to confirm in Seller Central |
|---|---|---|
| US / amazon.com | Amazon.com public photo guide read; G1881 body unavailable | Current category, main-image content and zoom policy |
| Canada / amazon.ca | Local G1881 body unavailable | Local upload and zoom thresholds; gallery rules |
| UK / amazon.co.uk | Local G1881 body unavailable | Local upload and zoom thresholds; category exceptions |
| Australia / amazon.com.au | Local G1881 body unavailable | Local content and technical requirements |
| India / amazon.in | Local G1881 body unavailable | Category requirements and structured declarations |
| Singapore / amazon.sg | Local G1881 body unavailable | Category rules and applicable product documents |
| Ireland / amazon.ie | Public listing guide read; numeric help-page thresholds unavailable | Image specifications and safety-information submission |
| UAE / amazon.ae | Local G1881 body unavailable | Content restrictions and relevant category guidance |
| Saudi Arabia / amazon.sa | Local G1881 body unavailable | Image policy and product-document workflow |
| Egypt / amazon.eg | Local G1881 fetch failed | Current technical and content policy |
| South Africa / amazon.co.za | Local G1881 body unavailable | Image requirements for the exact category |
Which local obligations need a separate review?#
The items below are research topics with product-specific scope, not a list of marks to add to every listing. A regulator, a regulation and a licensed conformity mark are different things. An image cannot substitute for registration, a technical file or an authorized physical label.
| Destination | Local review topic | Gallery preparation recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| US | Relevant product regulator and actual label obligations | Retain accurate product and pack photographs; do not invent agency badges |
| Canada | Covered non-food packaging rules and Quebec French-language requirements | Photograph the actual bilingual pack; review translated callouts separately |
| UK | Sector-specific CE/UKCA routes; relevant food rules | Use the correct pack version; distinguish GB and Northern Ireland |
| Australia | Food origin labels and therapeutic advertising where applicable | Keep authentic origin details and substantiated product claims |
| India | Packaged Commodities declarations and applicable BIS scheme | Use page fields and real pack photos; link food details to the FSSAI guide |
| Singapore | Controlled Goods registration; food and supplement-specific rules | Photograph the real applicable SAFETY Mark and label |
| Ireland | GPSR online offers; applicable CE and WEEE duties | Prepare contact and safety information alongside the gallery |
| UAE | MoIAT product-specific conformity requirements | Check authorized marks and translated claims against product documents |
| Saudi Arabia | SFDA food labels; relevant SASO and Saber requirements | Distinguish physical Arabic labels from optional gallery design |
| Egypt | EDA cosmetics claims; other product rules need separate verification | Review claims and warranty evidence; no payment-badge recommendation |
| South Africa | Current NRCS applicability not independently verified | Request model-specific documentation; do not assume an SABS mark |
Which parts of a gallery can you reuse?#
Reuse product facts only when the item shipped is identical. Check model, plug, voltage, pack count, included accessories, capacity and warning language before reusing a photograph. A destination-specific bundle or plug is a different visual evidence problem, even when the brand name is unchanged.
Keep a clean product photograph, a real pack archive and editable callout copy as separate working assets. Translate feature copy from an approved source sheet. Do not translate or redraw a certificate, registration number or warning from memory. Check A+ content and advertising in their own placement policies.
How would you adapt one product for Canada and Ireland?#
Suppose a seller wants to reuse photographs of a storage container. First check whether both stores ship the same lid, dimensions, quantity and retail pack. Then prepare separate destination asset lists.
This is an illustrative preparation exercise, not a tested seller result or certification example. Replace every placeholder with your own measured and documented product facts.
| Asset | Evidence to supply | Review before use |
|---|---|---|
| Product photograph | Actual variant and included contents | Reuse only if the shipped product is identical |
| Canada pack photo | Final pack intended for Canadian sale | Check applicable bilingual declarations and Quebec scope |
| Ireland offer information | Manufacturer and relevant responsible-person/safety information | Supply through the applicable listing workflow; do not hide it in a decorative slide |
| Dimension callout | Seller measurement sheet | Review units and translations without changing the measured value |
How should you manage an international gallery release?#
Maintain one row per product, marketplace and asset version. Record the policy source, reviewer, final file, destination and date. If Build International Listings or another catalog tool transfers content, inspect the destination detail page yourself; catalog synchronization is not a substitute for a local review.
Publish only links and creative assets that exist. Recheck policy sources quarterly and when a marketplace changes its guidance. Keep previous files so a mistaken translation or outdated pack photograph can be replaced without recreating the entire set.
Where can Picmato help, and what must you still verify?#
Picmato recommends listing image templates tailored to your product. A nine-image plan describes the planned main image and eight further image purposes; it does not promise nine finished images or nine visible Amazon gallery slots. Review the available plan and choose which images to generate.
The main-image brief is directed to a plain white studio background. AI renderers do not guarantee an exact RGB value; inspect the exported file with a color picker before uploading. Check the product shape, sold quantity, dimensions, every rendered word and any depicted accessories against your own evidence.
Use original packaging photographs for label details, identifiers, warnings and authorized marks. Picmato does not check marketplace or legal compliance and does not verify a translation. This guide does not establish successful URL imports from every Amazon country domain. Use your own product photos when an import is unavailable.
All dimensions, RGB requirements, and technical guidelines in this playbook are verified directly against official 2026 seller portal specifications (Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Marketplace, Flipkart Seller Hub, and FSSAI standards).

Frequently asked questions
Are Amazon image requirements identical in every country?
Do not assume so. Amazon.com’s public photo guide is useful background, but it does not independently establish every local category rule. In this research check, most local help pages exposed only JavaScript or login shells. Confirm the selected country and product category in Seller Central, then review product labeling and online disclosures separately.
Does each marketplace have one mandatory certification mark?
No. Requirements depend on the product and applicable scheme. A regulator’s name, a legal framework and a licensed mark are different things. Do not put a row of country badges on your images. Establish which documents and physical labels apply to the exact model before deciding what genuine packaging photographs to include.
Can I use the same AI-generated gallery across all stores?
Only after checking that each image accurately represents the destination product and meets the relevant content rules. Verify dimensions, accessories, plug type, warnings and translated copy. Keep original photographs for packaging evidence. Picmato does not perform the legal review or verify translations, and this guide does not establish import success for every country domain.
