Amazon Ireland Listing Images: Amazon Rules and EU Product Safety Information

Prepare Amazon.ie listing graphics while verifying EU compliance marks and product packaging.
Amazon Ireland’s public listing guide describes a white main-image background and clear product framing. For products within GPSR’s scope, online product identification, manufacturer information and relevant safety information are separate preparation tasks. Article 19 does not turn every contact detail into a mandatory decorative gallery slide.
Checked on 19 October 2026; review by 19 January 2027. We read the public Irish listing guide and the GPSR text consolidated on 29 May 2026. Detailed local image thresholds and the authenticated safety-document submission workflow were not publicly readable in this check.
Create listing images from your product photos
Paste your Amazon, Flipkart, Walmart, or Meesho product link or upload phone shots. Picmato recommends listing image templates tailored to your product. Review the plan and choose which images to generate; a nine-image plan does not guarantee nine finished images or nine visible gallery slots.
AI renderers do not guarantee an exact RGB value. Check the exported background with a color picker before uploading, and verify product details and rendered text yourself. Picmato does not check marketplace or legal compliance.
What image guidance could we verify for Amazon Ireland?
Amazon Ireland’s public Product Listing Guide describes a main image on a pure white background with the product occupying most of the frame. Its general description is not a numeric upload or zoom specification. The separate Product image requirements help page returned a JavaScript/login shell.
Keep upload eligibility, zoom behavior and a working export recommendation separate. A sharp 2,000-pixel square master is our recommended starting point if your source supports it. Verify the actual category rules and live display before applying that production choice to an entire catalog.
| Item | Evidence status | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Main-image appearance | Public Irish listing guide read | Follow its product-first, white-background direction and verify category exceptions |
| Minimum upload and zoom | Exact local thresholds not independently verified | Read the selected store’s current help before export |
| Safety-information submission | Authenticated workflow not read | Use current Seller Central compliance prompts; do not assume a gallery slot suffices |
| 2,000-pixel square master | Picmato production recommendation | Use only when appropriate for the original and category |
What does GPSR Article 19 require in the online offer?
For products within its scope, Article 19 identifies manufacturer contact information, a responsible person where the manufacturer is outside the Union, product-identification information including a picture, and relevant warnings or safety information. Check Article 2 and applicable sector legislation before treating GPSR as the only product framework.
The obligation concerns what the offer clearly presents. Prepare the required structured information and documents alongside your gallery. We could not verify the current authenticated Amazon workflow, so this guide does not prescribe exact menu clicks or claim that a packaging photo alone satisfies Amazon’s submission requirements.
When do CE and WEEE markings affect your photographs?
The European Commission’s CE guidance says the mark applies only to products covered by rules requiring it. Its WEEE guidance concerns covered electrical and electronic equipment. These are product obligations with defined scope, not icons to add to every Irish listing.
Photograph the legitimate label on the actual destination product. Do not remove a genuine UKCA mark merely to make the image look European, and do not add a CE mark to an ineligible product. Confirm the actual physical product and applicable conformity requirements before changing packaging or photography.
What changes when you reuse UK assets for Ireland?
Consider a hypothetical non-food product offered in both stores. Check whether the pack and product are identical before transferring the creative.
This is an illustrative preparation exercise, not a tested seller result or certification example. Replace every placeholder with your own measured and documented product facts.
| Asset | Evidence to supply | Review before use |
|---|---|---|
| Product photograph | Exact destination variant | Check accessories and physical identifiers |
| Manufacturer details | Verified postal and electronic contact information | Enter through the applicable offer fields |
| Responsible person and warnings | Applicable product scope and authorized records | Prepare relevant offer information and documents separately from feature copy |
| Marking close-up | Genuine physical label and conformity records | Do not digitally swap UKCA and CE |
What should you check before uploading?
Treat this as an editorial preparation checklist. Confirm the actual marketplace requirements and product obligations separately; a good-looking gallery is not evidence of product certification.
- Confirm the store, exact product variant, category and current image policy.
- Check GPSR scope and the current Amazon safety-information workflow.
- Keep manufacturer and applicable responsible-person records accurate.
- Check whether CE or WEEE applies before selecting label photographs.
- Check pixel dimensions, crop, readable text and the exported background color.
- Preview on a phone and desktop; inspect the live listing after upload.
Where can Picmato help, and what must you still verify?
Picmato recommends listing image templates tailored to your product. A nine-image plan describes the planned main image and eight further image purposes; it does not promise nine finished images or nine visible Amazon gallery slots. Review the available plan and choose which images to generate.
The main-image brief is directed to a plain white studio background. AI renderers do not guarantee an exact RGB value; inspect the exported file with a color picker before uploading. Check the product shape, sold quantity, dimensions, every rendered word and any depicted accessories against your own evidence.
Use original packaging photographs for label details, identifiers, warnings and authorized marks. Picmato does not check marketplace or legal compliance and does not verify a translation. This guide does not establish successful URL imports from every Amazon country domain. Use your own product photos when an import is unavailable.
Frequently asked questions
Must GPSR contact details appear in a gallery image?
Article 19 requires relevant information in the online offer; it does not prescribe a universal decorative gallery slide. Amazon’s current fields and document workflows must be checked separately. We could not read the authenticated submission workflow, so do not assume a photograph replaces structured manufacturer, responsible-person or safety-information submissions.
Must I remove UKCA marks from UK product photographs?
Do not digitally alter genuine packaging to imply another conformity status. Establish the physical product’s eligibility for the Irish market and photograph that version. UKCA is not a substitute for CE where CE is required, but that does not justify a blanket instruction to erase one marking from every photograph.
Does every product sold in Ireland need CE or WEEE icons?
No. The European Commission’s guidance limits CE to products covered by rules requiring it, and WEEE has its own equipment scope. A product may have other obligations instead. Verify the product classification and use authentic labels; adding a symbol to an image does not establish conformity or registration.
